Phenomenal piece of equipment.
I’m not normally for big watches, nor those with quartz movements, but the Gryphon has been rock-solid dependable here in the Philippine tropics, in the 8 months I’ve used it,
It’s very easy to read in the dark, The lume coating is just ridiculously bright, and the milder tritium gas tubes are there for me ALL the time. Super-tough poly case, too. I’ve inadvertently scraped or banged the watch against coral, tree bark, even some pavement and the odd door jamb, but there’s hardly any damage. The strap with the “lock tab” at the end (with the Reactor logo) is pretty smart, as it leaves the strap very secure, without making it a hassle to put on or take off.
I have the Gryphon in the “Flat Dark Earth” scheme and it’s a win-win for me, as it’s big and bold without being too ‘loud’.
